Thank you Cheryl and Larry for always being here for Angels’ Closet. Your ongoing support and willingness to help high school students in need is greatly appreciated.

Shannon Fang, owner of The Agency Board Shop, has such a giving heart. This is such a huge help as he collects boys clothing in all sizes. We are always in need of young men’s clothing.

Angels’ Closet was awarded a grant from Children’s Fund that will help us provide high school students with clothing, shoes, socks and underwear. We’re very grateful for these much-needed funds. Feeling like you fit in is so important at this age and clothes are a big part of that, so it’s imperative that these young people don’t feel the need to stay home from school due to lack of proper clothes.

We are very appreciative of Haven’s support throughout the past three years. Their involvement in our Annual Goodwill fundraiser, and Martha Green’s Tea fundraiser has helped make these two major fundraisers of ours a success. The annual Haven Open House is a fundraiser for Angels’ Closet Charities and three no-kill animal shelters. Without Haven, we would not be able to provide some of the assistance that we do. Owners Nadine and Dan are always available to volunteer and help whenever help is needed.

Pastor Wallace, his wife Cindi and the entire congregation have been loving supporters of Angels’ Closet Charities. They provide food for our families during the Holidays. This is brought so much joy and happiness to the families. One mother said “my boys ate so good”. We are grateful for the joy they bring to young ladies during prom season. The hair styling, makeup, manicures, and pedicures are luxuries – a luxury these young ladies don’t often get. They offer help whenever help is needed.

Thank you Tricia for your kindness and generosity in donating clothing to Angels’ Closet Charities. It is always a joy to tell a young lady that the garment they are trying on came from Nectar. Thank you for the clothing drives too! The girls love Nectar!

Thank your Heather for the very successful fundraiser. The “Plus Size” Clothing will help fill the shortage we have. We appreciate your donation of beautiful purses, jewelry, and other accessories. Your help and support is truly appreciated.

Thank you Martin for providing the discount for our purchase of underwear, socks, and other much needed items. This has really made a difference in providing these necessities to the young men and women.

Technicolour Salon, you are amazing! We’re so appreciative your efforts to provide lasting memories for young people who otherwise may not have had the opportunity to have their hair styled for homecoming and prom.

Thank you Jan for the tea fundraiser you held for Angels’ Closet. The loving kindness extended to Angels’ Closet is truly appreciated. Your donations have helped us meet the needs for some very special young people.

Please mark October 28, 29, and 30 on your calendar.  We will celebrate our 4th fundraiser tea at Martha Green’s Tea Room.  For those of you who have never attended you are really missing out on a wonderful day.  Excellent food, great entertainment by Harpist Susan Sparks Irving, fabulous opportunity drawing prizes, and much more!  Martha has been a supporter of Angels’ Closet Charities and makes this event very special for everyone! This also kicks off the fall season and enables us to raise funds to help students with their everyday clothing needs as well as prepare requests for assistance with homecoming, prom, graduation, yearbooks, senior pictures, and job seeking attire.  Tickets are available now.  Cost is $45/person.

We are looking forward to our 5th Goodwill Fundraiser to be held on February 7, 2015 from 10 a. – 2 p. at the East Parking Lot of Redlands Valley High School.  Please save your small household items, clothing, and miscellaneous decorator items.  No furniture or “E” waste accepted.

For the past three years, we have been selected as one of their philanthropies. We just couldn’t get by without them, they are a wonderful mother-daughter community service organization who give so much. This year, one of the mothers helped at the last minute with Christmas gifts. She put together stockings for the young people, gifts for the mothers and movie tickets for the teens. This brought so much happiness and joy to these families as the young people would not have had much of a Christmas without her help.

The 8th grade group of NCL (National Charity League) chose us as their philanthropy this year and, let me say, they are amazing. Three days before Christmas, Leslye Roman dropped by with a card and money from the mothers for Angels’ Closet Charities. They are a special group and we are truly honored to have the opportunity to work with them this year.

We are pleased to announce that we are recipients of a grant from Children’s Fund. This is the third year we have been honored to receive a grant and these funds have enabled us to do more for students than ever before.

Their mission is, “To prevent child abuse in our community; to ensure that at-risk children who are abused, neglected, impoverished, or abandoned receive adequate food, shelter, clothing, medical and education; and provide equal opportunity for social development for these children.” We are truly honored to receive a grant from this wonderful organization.

It was an honor to be a recipient for a grant from this great organization. They raise funds to support the community by giving grants to organizations to enable them to better serve our community. Seventeen organizations received financial grants from Redlands Community Foundation, and each are diverse and truly make a difference in our community.

“RCF’s vision is to maintain and improve the quality of life in Redlands and the region through addressing the philanthropic needs of the local community by providing effective leadership to support service organizations,” said executive director Denise Kuhn. They also provide workshops to help the organizations learn to better serve their community. We attended last year and we plan on attending again as it is a wonderful opportunity to learn from such knowledgeable people in our community.

We wish to thank the individual donors who donated funds to help the needs of our young people in need. You have truly helped make a difference in a young person’s life.

Thank you Chicago Title for donating 40 backpacks filled with school supplies. This is the second year that Chicago Title has provided the much-needed school supplies. This is a tremendous gift as it costs around $60 for high school students and middle school students to get the basic supplies.

New Men’s Suits were donated to Angels’ Closet Charities by Crawford Investments— thank you Chris Crawford of Crawford Investments in San Bernardino, who donated four beautiful new men’s suits. We are appreciative as we never have enough men’s suits for our young adults. Thank you so much for your kindness and generous donation.

Thank you everyone who attended our tea. The Tea at Martha Greens was a wonderful success thanks to you and all the businesses who donated gift certificates and gift baskets for our Opportunity Drawing. Laura Leyvas at Martha Greens always goes out of her way to make this a special day. The NCL young ladies were wonderful helpers. A special thanks to Emerson Farrar for donating the beautiful blue topaz ring won by Melissa Roberts and to Haven Management LLC for donating the 47” TV which was won by Mary Beth Cuatico. Thank you Angels’ Closet Charities Board – you are the best!

Thank you Donna DeRuyter of Party Lite for organizing this very nice day for Angels’ Closet Charities. The product is a wonderful product and your suggestions were wonderful. Donna has donated beautiful Party Lite items for our tea and gone out of her way to help the youth in our community by collecting backpacks, toiletries, and other special requests.

The school year is going by so fast and it will be over before we know it. Preparation for graduation will be here very soon and we really need your help. If you would like to help a graduating senior with a cap and gown or yearbook, you may do so by sending your donation to Angels’ Closet Charities directly or by Paypal.

When you sponsor a student — you give them the opportunity to walk with their fellow classmates and you give them the opportunity to have lasting memories by donating funds to buy a yearbook for them. Below is a thank you note we received from a student:

I just want to say thank you so much for your willing heart to help me out with all my senior things!!! I am really thankful! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

To all of you in the community who have helped, who continue to help, and who may one day help, THANK YOU. You make a difference every day.
