NECTAR OF REDLANDS
Nectar of Redlands has been a great supporter of Angels’ Closet Charities. They are currently conducting a jean drive as we just don’t have enough to meet the demand. Thank you to this group that has such a big heart for the kids — they regularly donate new clothing and support us when we have special requests. More info: Redlands Daily Facts

TREASURES
A lovely antique and gift store in Downtown Redlands recently held a fall tea. Proceeds from this event were donated to Angels’ Closet Charities. Jan Spencer, the owner, has supported Angels’ Closet from the very beginning. She just has a way of knowing when we need help the most. Thank you Jan for all you do to help us help the kids! www.redlandstreasures.com
SHOP SUEY FUNDRAISER
A fundraiser at Shop Suey in Redlands on November 8, 2012. 20% of the proceeds of all sales that day will be donated to Angels’ Closet. This is a darling Boutique. It carries beautiful purses, jewelry, clothing and other lovely items. Heather started her business as an online business and expanded to this darling store. Lovely store, wonderful owner. We really must thank Heather Gray for her support of Angels’ Closet. Not only is she doing the fundraiser, but she has donated beautiful purses and gift certificates for our Fundraiser Tea “Opportunity Drawing”, and to our closet. The girls love the purses and jewelry! Please go to: www.shopsueyboutique.com
MIKE ORLAND
Mike Orland raised $1,000 for Angels’ Closet Charities. His event on November 17 not only helped out Angels’ Closet, but also raised funds for the Burn Institute of Inland Empire, the Childhood Cancer Foundation and the Redlands East Valley High School wrestling team. Mike, his wife LaRee Orland (a counselor at REV) and their two sons have supported Angels’ Closet from the very beginning and have helped make so many things possible for high school students in need.
CHILDRENS FUND
We are honored to announce that we have received a grant from Children’s Fund of San Bernardino County. These monies will help us continue to provide much-needed clothing to our students in need. There are too many young people who have never had a new pair of shoes, a bra that fits or a warm coat to wear. We’re working to make a difference and, with the help of Children’s Fund, we can continue our efforts to have an impact on these young people’s lives.
Children’s Fund’s mission is to prevent child abuse in our community; to ensure that at- risk children who are abused, neglected, impoverished, or abandoned receive adequate food, shelter, clothing, medical care and education; and to provide equal opportunity for social development for these children.
REDLANDS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
We received a $500 grant from the Redlands Community Foundation. It was such an honor to be awarded this grant from among so many distinguished recipients.
CHASE GRANT
We received $335.30 in funds from the Chase National competition. We really must thank all of you who went online and voted.
NATIONAL CHARITY LEAGUE
The summer was a very busy time at Angels’ Closet. The young ladies from National Charity League and their mothers helped iron and steam clothing for the new school year and they were amazing! They worked so hard that for the first time, we had all the ironing and steaming caught up!
These young ladies provide many services to Angels’ Closet Charities:
October – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, they collect new bras for Angels’ Closet. Serve, setup and cleanup at our Fundraiser Tea at Martha Greens.
November – They collect new underwear & new socks.
December – Last year, we received last-minute calls from parents needing help for Christmas. It is very sad to think that a teen is not going to have a Christmas as it’s just as meaningful to them as to the younger children. With the help of the National Charity League, we were able to help provide Christmas gifts to the six families who called.
July and August – Help get the closet ready for the new school year.
These are amazing young ladies who work very hard to serve their community and to help fellow students. We are very appreciative of all the time and support they have given to Angels’ Closet.
We have had more high school students shop at Angels’ Closet than ever before. With the economy, job loss and family illnesses, much help is needed. These kids carry a big load — not only do they go to school every day and work hard to keep their grades up, but they have the responsibility to care for younger siblings, an ill parent, or work to help support the family. We are truly honored that we can help these kids with clothing other special requests. We are able to do this because of all of you!
NEEDS
We are in need of stylish boys and girls jeans. All sizes are welcome: size 0 to 20 in women’s; size 27 to 46 in men’s. The kids really like the skinny jeans or the straight leg jean.
We are also in need of shoes for boys and girls as we strive to provide each student with a new pair of shoes. If you could see what some of these kids are wearing — duct tape holding shoes together, gaping holes in the soles or toes peeking out — it would break your heart.
The winter months are here and we must be prepared. We are already receiving calls to schedule appointments for winter clothing.
Graduation will soon be upon us as well and we need sponsors for caps and gowns, yearbooks and other special requests. Many of the young people participate in sports, drama, music and other activities, we’d love to have the yearbooks for them so they may have these memories for years to come. You may send a check to our P.O. Box or pay by PayPal. We greatly appreciate your help.
We are always in need of toiletries. The boys love AXE products and the girls Bath and Body Works — it’s so much fun to watch their faces when they receive these items. Often times, families only have enough money for food, so having deodorant, toothpaste and toiletries is a luxury.
Angels' Closet Charities is a 501(c)(3) organization.

AAMCO Transmissions of Redlands
Thank you Cheryl and Larry for always being here for Angels’ Closet. Your ongoing support and willingness to help high school students in need is greatly appreciated.
THE AGENCY BOARD SHOP – YUCAIPA
Shannon Fang, owner of The Agency Board Shop, has such a giving heart. This is such a huge help as he collects boys clothing in all sizes. We are always in need of young men’s clothing.
CHILDREN’S FUND
Angels’ Closet was awarded a grant from Children’s Fund that will help us provide high school students with clothing, shoes, socks and underwear. We’re very grateful for these much-needed funds. Feeling like you fit in is so important at this age and clothes are a big part of that, so it’s imperative that these young people don’t feel the need to stay home from school due to lack of proper clothes.
HAVEN MANAGEMENT LLC
We are very appreciative of Haven’s support throughout the past three years. Their involvement in our Annual Goodwill fundraiser, and Martha Green’s Tea fundraiser has helped make these two major fundraisers of ours a success. The annual Haven Open House is a fundraiser for Angels’ Closet Charities and three no-kill animal shelters. Without Haven, we would not be able to provide some of the assistance that we do. Owners Nadine and Dan are always available to volunteer and help whenever help is needed.
HOUSE OF GOD
Pastor Wallace, his wife Cindi and the entire congregation have been loving supporters of Angels’ Closet Charities. They provide food for our families during the Holidays. This is brought so much joy and happiness to the families. One mother said “my boys ate so good”. We are grateful for the joy they bring to young ladies during prom season. The hair styling, makeup, manicures, and pedicures are luxuries – a luxury these young ladies don’t often get. They offer help whenever help is needed.
NECTAR CLOTHING OF REDLANDS
Thank you Tricia for your kindness and generosity in donating clothing to Angels’ Closet Charities. It is always a joy to tell a young lady that the garment they are trying on came from Nectar. Thank you for the clothing drives too! The girls love Nectar!
SHOP SUEY
Thank your Heather for the very successful fundraiser. The “Plus Size” Clothing will help fill the shortage we have. We appreciate your donation of beautiful purses, jewelry, and other accessories. Your help and support is truly appreciated.
TARGET
Thank you Martin for providing the discount for our purchase of underwear, socks, and other much needed items. This has really made a difference in providing these necessities to the young men and women.
TECHNICOLOUR SALON
Technicolour Salon, you are amazing! We’re so appreciative your efforts to provide lasting memories for young people who otherwise may not have had the opportunity to have their hair styled for homecoming and prom.
TREASURES
Thank you Jan for the tea fundraiser you held for Angels’ Closet. The loving kindness extended to Angels’ Closet is truly appreciated. Your donations have helped us meet the needs for some very special young people.
