AAMCO Transmissions of Redlands
Thank you Cheryl and Larry for always being here for Angels’ Closet. Your ongoing support and willingness to help high school students in need is greatly appreciated.
THE AGENCY BOARD SHOP – YUCAIPA
Shannon Fang, owner of The Agency Board Shop, has such a giving heart. This is such a huge help as he collects boys clothing in all sizes. We are always in need of young men’s clothing.
Angels’ Closet was awarded a grant from Children’s Fund that will help us provide high school students with clothing, shoes, socks and underwear. We’re very grateful for these much-needed funds. Feeling like you fit in is so important at this age and clothes are a big part of that, so it’s imperative that these young people don’t feel the need to stay home from school due to lack of proper clothes.
HAVEN MANAGEMENT LLC
We are very appreciative of Haven’s support throughout the past three years. Their involvement in our Annual Goodwill fundraiser, and Martha Green’s Tea fundraiser has helped make these two major fundraisers of ours a success. The annual Haven Open House is a fundraiser for Angels’ Closet Charities and three no-kill animal shelters. Without Haven, we would not be able to provide some of the assistance that we do. Owners Nadine and Dan are always available to volunteer and help whenever help is needed.
HOUSE OF GOD
Pastor Wallace, his wife Cindi and the entire congregation have been loving supporters of Angels’ Closet Charities. They provide food for our families during the Holidays. This is brought so much joy and happiness to the families. One mother said “my boys ate so good”. We are grateful for the joy they bring to young ladies during prom season. The hair styling, makeup, manicures, and pedicures are luxuries – a luxury these young ladies don’t often get. They offer help whenever help is needed.
NECTAR CLOTHING OF REDLANDS
Thank you Tricia for your kindness and generosity in donating clothing to Angels’ Closet Charities. It is always a joy to tell a young lady that the garment they are trying on came from Nectar. Thank you for the clothing drives too! The girls love Nectar!
Thank your Heather for the very successful fundraiser. The “Plus Size” Clothing will help fill the shortage we have. We appreciate your donation of beautiful purses, jewelry, and other accessories. Your help and support is truly appreciated.
Thank you Martin for providing the discount for our purchase of underwear, socks, and other much needed items. This has really made a difference in providing these necessities to the young men and women.
Technicolour Salon, you are amazing! We’re so appreciative your efforts to provide lasting memories for young people who otherwise may not have had the opportunity to have their hair styled for homecoming and prom.
Thank you Jan for the tea fundraiser you held for Angels’ Closet. The loving kindness extended to Angels’ Closet is truly appreciated. Your donations have helped us meet the needs for some very special young people.
Third Annual Fundraiser Tea
We are pleased to announce the dates for our Third Annual Fundraiser Tea. This is designed as a three-day event to accommodate everyone’s schedule. We hope you can join us on either Tuesday, September 17, Wednesday, September 18 or Thursday, September 19 from 4-6 p.m.
For those of you who have attended in previous years, you know how much fun it is. And if you’ve never been to a tea at Martha Green’s, you are really missing out! The food is wonderful and entertainment is great. There’s also an opportunity drawing and gift baskets filled with beautiful and fun items from our local businesses!
Servers will be young ladies from the mother-daughter community service organization, National Charity League. They have chosen Angels’ Closet Charities to be one of their charities and we truly appreciate that selection and all the support they have provided over the past two years.
Cost of the tea is $45 per person and proceeds go towards shoes, socks, underwear, special requests and for the purchase of items we don’t have in the closet.

We Are Expanding!
We are so excited! We have partnered with Redlands East Valley High School for almost five years — thank you to LaRee Orland, Shana Delmonico, Mr. Kirkland and Mr. Maloney for making this possible. We started out serving high school students with formal attire, and then expanded to include school clothing, basic necessities, formal/business attire and special requests. Now, we are pleased to announce we will be serving middle school students!
We have worked very hard to get the room ready for the new school year and really need your help with the following items for boys and girls of middle school age:
· Gym clothes
· Dress clothes (including dress shoes)
We collect new and gently used items that are clean and free of tears and stains.
National Charity League
The summer was a very busy time at Angels’ Closet. The young ladies from National Charity League and their mothers helped iron and steam clothing for the new school year and they were amazing!
They continue to provide many services year-round for Angels’ Closet Charities:
· September – help serve and work at the tea
· October – in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, they collect new bras for Angels’ Closet
· November – collect new underwear & new socks
· July and August – help get the closet ready for the new school year
These generous young ladies work very hard to serve their community and to help fellow students and we are most appreciative of all the time and support they have given to Angels’ Closet.
We also wish to thank the women from Citrus Valley Cheer, plus everyone else who volunteered to help this summer. Thank you to our board for everything you did to help get the rooms ready for the new school year. You all are helping to make a difference in the lives of so many young people.
We have had more high school students shop at Angels’ Closet than ever before. With the economy, job loss and family illnesses, much help is needed. These kids carry a big load — not only do they go to school every day and work hard to keep their grades up, but many have the responsibility to care for younger siblings, an ill parent or work to help support the family. We are truly honored that we can help these kids with clothing or other special requests. We are able to do this because of all of you!
We are extremely grateful to the following community organizations for their support of Angels’ Closet Charities:
ALPHA DELTA KAPPA AAK ALTRUISTIC
ALPHA DELTA KAPPA BETA IOTA
ROTARY CLUB OF REDLANDS
SOROPTIMISTS INTERNATIONAL OF REDLANDS
We wish to thank those private donors who donated funds to help meet the needs of our young people in need and for all of you who sponsored a senior. I wish I could read you all the thank-you notes we receive from students who benefited from your assistance. I truly believe a yearbook means more to a graduating senior than homecoming, prom, grad night or some of the other senior activities. Here is one of those thank-you notes, this is from a graduating senior:
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
We, my mom and I, thank you so much for paying for and giving away a yearbook to us! My mom and I were worried that we wouldn’t be able to buy one when they were selling. She cried when I told her that someone was willing to give one away. We’re full of joy now! We thank you again.
Redlands Community Foundation
Sara Thompson and Pat Williams were fortunate to attend classes hosted by the Redlands Community Foundation. The program was entitled “Fundraising February.” We learned so much and hope they continue this program. Thank you to everyone who presented at these classes!
